Autonomous Vehicle Systems Integration Specialist

Technical Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Integration Engineer to join our Autonomous Vehicle Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with automotive technicians and senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our autonomous driving platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including hands-on experience with automotive bus systems, vehicle hardware, and troubleshooting. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debug and maintain systems integrated into vehicle platforms
  • Triage reported in-vehicle issues, including those related to sensors, vehicle ECUs, and vehicle communication
  • Solve vehicle communication issues and provide feedback as needed
  • Be hands-on in vehicles to determine root causes of reported issues
  • Be the "first responder" for vehicle issues and raise suggestions for improvements to avoid recurring issues

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in diagnosing automotive bus systems and working on vehicles
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Automotive, Electric, IT, or similar)
  • In-depth experience with CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet
  • Experience with diverse automotive sensors, including radars, cameras, ultrasonic, and LiDAR
  • Excellent technical problem-solving ability and attitude
  • Prior automotive technician experience and completion of Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills for on-the-spot resolution of customer concerns
  • Computer-savvy, with experience in scripting languages and Linux
  • Excellence in troubleshooting and problem-solving of Automotive Electronics installations
  • Experience with state-of-the-art automotive bus analyzing tools
  • Worked with latest sensor technology for autonomous driving platforms, including sensor calibrations
