Automotive Software Integration Specialist

We are Aiways, driving the evolution of the automotive industry.

For our European head office, we are looking for an Automotive Software Integration Specialist who will be a part of the Connectivity Team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a test engineer to perform regression tests for over-the-air platforms in Europe with current and upcoming vehicles.
  • Identify vehicle software bugs to improve user experience.
  • Act as a specialist towards the central organization in feeding back quality concerns via assigned processes to ensure upgrade capability in the specified environment.
  • Perform various testing related to vehicle real-time and offline at different locations in aspects related to user-experience.
  • Responsible for over-the-air validation including FOTA, SOTA.
  • Responsible for FOTA operation of Aiways fleet across Europe.
  • Responsible for FOTA test bench operation and maintenance.
  • Responsible for OTA function throughout the entire development lifecycle in Europe.
  • Identify FOTA integration problems and create issue reports to Research & Development and other relevant departments.
  • Experience with ticketing using JIRA.
  • Based on vehicle software release plans, identify release targets and track release status.
  • Quickly respond to over-the-air technical problems and provide necessary technical support for Aiways and fleet partner fleets.
  • Communicate with a distributed team across Europe.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor (or above) degree in automotive engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, or similar fields.
  • 3+ years' experience in the automotive field, preferably OEM, Tier-1 Supplier.
  • Strong experience with Linux or equivalent programming skills.
  • Familiar with over-the-air, FOTA, SOTA concepts, functionality, update processes, and release management.
  • Familiar with vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN protocol.
  • Experience with CAN-based diagnostic tools (CANoe, Candela, Diva) as well as with flashing and calibration protocols.
  • Good knowledge of E/E architectures in Electric vehicles.
  • Exposure to IT concepts (e.g., database/Cloud, software architectures).
  • Professional experience in validating software for automotive control units or equivalent qualification according to the ISTQB standard.
  • Class B Driving License and safe driving skills.
  • English, German can be used as working languages. Chinese language is a plus.
  • Communicative, team-player, and thrive for good user experience.
