Senior Financial Analyst - Logistics Cost Optimization

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving controllership, innovation, productivity, and cost-effective operations across our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage Amazon Logistics metrics to identify cost-out opportunities by linking up operations and financials.
  • Build trusted partnerships with business stakeholders to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions that lead to business improvements and cost reductions.
  • Own the financial and operational planning processes to produce a challenging operational plan, including month-end procedures, accruals, and variance analysis between scenarios.
  • Proactively support knowledge-sharing within the team and across your division, while looking to standardize processes across EU teams.
  • Work independently, prioritizing and focusing on high-impact activities, and deprioritizing those unlikely to drive material improvement.

As part of the AMZL Finance team, you will join a team that is passionate about numbers, data, and how to use them to generate insights and improve our business. We collaborate with our partners to ensure leaders have the most up-to-date and reliable information, and work with them to make sure AMZL is making the best possible decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in a quantitative role.
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management, or analysis.

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or CPA.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems.
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
  • Experience designing and implementing controls or experience performing audits over financial reporting environments.
