OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Technical Manager (m/f/d) Space Studies to join their team.

This role involves the successful implementation of complex projects in the national and international defense sector. As a key member of the project team, you will lead interdisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace or engineering, with relevant practical experience preferably in the dynamic realm of the aerospace industry. They will be able to demonstrate expertise in crafting compelling proposals and a deep understanding of intricate institutional structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation and implementation of large EU orders, managing order processing, program/mission proposals, and internal documentation.
  • Lead the project team through the complete development of the project, organizing and chairing regular project meetings to plan and review progress.
  • Analyze, define, and agree on requirements with the project team and customers.
  • Identify future program lines and develop creative study approaches in collaboration with institutional clients.
  • Take responsibility for conducting studies or projects resulting from proposals.
  • Lead negotiations, strengthen relationships with clients, and act as a liaison with key stakeholders in client organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A successful completion of studies in aerospace, engineering, or a related field, demonstrating expertise in the subject matter.
  • Relevant practical experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, showcasing hands-on knowledge.
  • Knowledge of space projects, including systems and operations.
  • Proven expertise in crafting compelling proposals and highlighting impact.
  • A deep understanding of intricate institutional structures.
  • Passion and knowledge in the aerospace field are not just desirable but form the foundation of collective success.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong result orientation, operational efficiency, and ability to reach pragmatic decisions.
