Project Manager Opportunity

OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager / Technical Manager to lead exciting and complex projects in the national and international defense sector.

Your Role

As a Project Manager / Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation of projects, leading interdisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and optimal performance. You will play a key role in planning, coordination, and management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery.

Your Tasks
  • Support the preparation and implementation of large EU projects by managing order processing, program/mission proposals, and internal documentation.
  • Lead the project team through the complete development of the project.
  • Organize and chair regular project meetings to plan and review project progress.
  • Analyze, define, and agree on requirements with the project team and customers.
  • Identify future program lines and develop creative study approaches with institutional clients.
  • Take responsibility for conducting studies or projects resulting from proposals.
  • Lead negotiations, strengthen relationships with clients, and act as a liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Be part of a dynamic team where your ideas are valued, offering opportunities to shape the aerospace and defense industry.
Your Qualifications
  • SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF STUDIES IN AEROSPACE, ENGINEERING, OR A RELATED FIELD.
  • RELEVANT PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE, preferably in the dynamic realm of the aerospace industry.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF SPACE PROJECTS, including systems and operations.
  • PROVEN EXPERTISE IN CRAFTING COMPELLING PROPOSALS (PROPOSALS), highlighting ability to create impactful pitches.
  • DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF INTRICATE INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURES, enabling navigation within challenging environments.
  • PASSION AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE AEROSPACE FIELD form the foundation of our collective success.
  • EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNICATION AND NEGOTIATION SKILLS.
  • STRONG RESULT ORIENTATION, OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY, AND ABILITY TO REACH PRAGMATIC AND TIMELY DECISIONS.
  • PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH IS INDISPENSABLE FOR THIS ROLE, WITH KNOWLEDGE OF GERMAN PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGE.
  • WILLINGNESS TO APPLY FOR A PERSONAL SECURITY CLEARANCE IS MANDATORY.

Competitive salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience.
