- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and oversight in analyzing and designing cost-effective system solutions, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines, budgets, and high engineering standards.
- Solution Development: Develop, analyze, and document solutions aligned with customer, business, and solution requirements, following processes and systems engineering methodologies.
- Integration and Testing: Engage in integration and testing activities to ensure seamless system operation.
- Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed Systems Engineering estimates and technical specifications (SOW) for proposals and budgeting.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with management and engineering teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Customer Engagement: Prepare and present system proposals to customers and offer technical support for sales and marketing activities.
- Performance Reporting: Report on Systems Engineering performance relative to specifications, budget, timelines, and quality requirements, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance: Assess design, development, and integration work performed by subcontractors to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Process Improvement: Participate in formal meetings with customers and subcontractors, and stay informed about the latest advancements in systems engineering and software techniques relevant to the company's operations.
- Team Development: Promote and implement quality engineering practices within the department and support systems engineering process improvement initiatives.
- Mentorship: Train, coach, and mentor less-experienced department members to support their professional growth.
