Job Purpose
We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to manage our Infrastructure Security team in Germany, drive operations and support of our large-scale security protection deployments for the network at Rakuten Symphony Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security components and features across multiple networks
- Develop and drive the infrastructure security roadmap and architecture in alignment with tech leads and engineering managers
- Manage and co-lead a team of 6 security and infrastructure engineers
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other members of the infrastructure security team
- Define and drive initiatives, solutions, processes, and frameworks to proactively identify and mitigate security threats within the infrastructures
- Develop and implement a security strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in Infrastructure and Security Engineering
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and across segments to achieve complex objectives
- Hands-on attitude and ability to drive solutions to completion
- Growth mindset targeted at learning and pushing the team forward
- Deep understanding of F5 and Cisco appliances
- Deep understanding of IAM solutions, PKI, and TLS
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud-native applications
- Deep understanding of common security frameworks and tactics
- Good command of networking concepts such as IPv4/IPv6 Network Address Translation (NAT), routing, load balancing, and high availability solutions, etc.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Cloud Security experience in GCP, AWS, and Azure
- Experience in Telco industry, specifically 5G network
- Experience with Keycloak, HashiCorp Vault, Istio, and OPA
