Job Description

As a Product Design Engineer at NORMA Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products, as well as improving existing ones. Your tasks will include:

  • Designing NORMA Group drawings, creating and tracking part numbers, product verification and validation process
  • Establishing D-FMEA using Apis software
  • Defining customer-owned interfacing components, such as flanges, spigots, and gaskets
  • Initiating and driving Global Excellence and VA/VE activities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Identifying, communicating, and leading innovation projects
  • Testing and calculation regarding technical competitor analysis (benchmarking)
  • Developing and maintaining design guidelines, as well as conducting product trainings
  • Accountable for processing customer inquiries/projects (daily business)
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Several years of experience in relevant and comparable functions with a focus on product design
  • Experience in leading projects from customer request to series production regarding product development
  • Fluent English and German language skills (C1+), as well as other EU languages an advantage
  • Able to establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships
  • Proficient in designing efficient processes/products
  • Motivated team player with a can-do attitude and ability to identify new opportunities
  • Experienced in creating and reviewing internal and external standards (e.g., DIN)
