About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our Site Procurement Operations team at Amazon Erfurt GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering strategic procurement projects for our internal business partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs and drive cost savings.
  • Manage complex procurement projects with high spends, risks, and time constraints.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Utilize various applications and systems to provide accurate metrics, reporting, and data.
  • Lead the procurement operations process, from needs detection and definition to contracting and implementation follow-up.
  • Create and execute contractual agreements, driving contract compliance from vendors.
  • Execute and support national and EU-wide procurement projects and initiatives.
  • Manage and ensure governance on supplier performance to ensure a high service level.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for a local category to identify and seize savings opportunities.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and embed Amazon's sustainability goals and processes.
About the Team

The Site Procurement Operations team works collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to provide procurement support and solutions. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that values individuality and diversity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with procurement or supply chain focus.
  • Relevant experience in a procurement environment.
  • Proficient computer literacy in MS office suite.
  • Negotiation skills (internal and external).
  • Contract management skills.
  • English and German language skills (Common European Framework of Reference C1).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a large, global, highly matrixed organization.
  • CIPS/EIPM accreditation or equivalent functional knowledge or accreditation.
  • Experience of ERP (SAP/Coupa).
  • Ability to manage multiple complex and simultaneous projects.
  • Highly self-motivated and customer-centric.
  • Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Able to demonstrate problem-solving and analytical competence.
