About the Role
As a seasoned IT Project Manager, you will lead the development project of an engineering tool for electrical component and system design, including CAD (CAE). Your expertise in agile project management within the engineering domain will drive the success of this project.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer the development project, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Coordinate the development team, aligning requirements, priorities, and decisions.
- Ensure technical quality and performance of the solution.
- Act as the single point of contact for project status and KPIs (budget, timeline, quality, and status).
- Drive the achievement of project goals, aligning with Siemens Energy's engineering objectives within the high voltage switchgear domain.
- Identify and address risks, and opportunities during project execution, creating technical solution proposals.
- Represent the vision of engineering process automation and motivate team members to fulfill this vision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a software project manager.
- Proven experience in agile project management within the engineering domain for at least 3 years.
- Strong hands-on experience working collaboratively with product team members, including product management, engineering, data engineering, and software developers.
- Certified as a project manager by PMI, PMP, PRINCE2, with knowledge of agile methods, stakeholder, contract, and supplier management.
- Excellent customer orientation, open-mindedness, and willingness to learn, with continuous development of own skills.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English, with knowledge of German on B2 level and any other language a plus.
