We are partnered with a global chemical and consumer goods company, seeking an experienced Data Science Director. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead a talented team of data scientists, driving business growth through data-driven insights.

**The Role**

As our ideal candidate, you will oversee the development and execution of our data science strategy, aligning it with business objectives. You will work closely with various teams to identify opportunities where data can drive impact, from marketing to product development.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and inspire a team of data scientists, providing them with the tools and environment to thrive.
  • Develop and execute a data science strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Oversee data projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and meeting business needs.

**Requirements**

  • 8+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics, with proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
  • Able to translate complex data into actionable business value.
  • Effective leadership skills to build, manage, and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
