Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Stabilus. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of new and existing products while working in multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of new and existing products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Execute and maintain development milestones, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Propose cost-saving and functional improvements to existing products, working with stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Perform research components of larger projects, working with teams to gather and analyze data.
  • Theoretically evaluate designs, functions, and performance, including tolerance studies, risk evaluation, mechanical strength, compatibility, and interference with adjacent components.
  • Define requirements for components, sub-systems, and systems, working with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and implementation.
  • Practically evaluate designs, functions, and performance, including strength tests, geometrical measurements, functional, and corrosion resistance tests.
  • Work with various core tools, including APQP, PPAP, and FMEA, to ensure compliance and quality.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a solid understanding and application of engineering tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good command of the English language, with German a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CAD software, with SAP a plus.
