About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development and improvement of innovative products within our dynamic engineering team. You will contribute to all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.
Your Responsibilities- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to bring new and existing product ideas to life.
- Ensure timely execution and maintenance of development milestones, driving projects forward efficiently.
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements by researching and evaluating emerging technologies relevant to our industry.
- Proactively propose enhancements to product designs, focusing on cost optimization and functional improvements.
- Conduct in-depth research for specific project components, contributing valuable insights to larger initiatives.
- Perform comprehensive theoretical analyses of designs, encompassing factors such as tolerance studies, risk assessments, mechanical strength, compatibility, and potential interference with adjacent components.
- Clearly define requirements for individual components, sub-systems, and entire systems, ensuring alignment with overall product goals.
- Conduct practical evaluations of designs through rigorous testing, including strength tests, geometrical measurements, functional assessments, and corrosion resistance analysis.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation.
- Possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, demonstrating a strong understanding and practical application of relevant engineering tools.
- Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and concise information sharing.
- Demonstrate fluency in English; proficiency in German is an asset.
- Possess strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, allowing for effective identification and resolution of technical challenges.
- Exhibit proficient computer skills, particularly with MS Office Suite and CAD software. Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
