Quantitative Researcher I Algorithmic Trading Analyst

Vattenfall, a leading European energy company, is seeking a skilled Quantitative Researcher to join its Algorithmic Trading team in Hamburg. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, backtesting, and implementing algorithmic trading strategies for energy commodity markets.
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, or mathematics, and 3+ years of experience in a quantitative research role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and C# is essential, as well as strong mathematical and analytical skills.
You will work closely with trading desks, analysts, and meteorologists to leverage market and fundamental insights for algorithmic trading ideas. The role requires a result-oriented, independent, and structured working method with high reliability and readiness to take on responsibility.

Requirements- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field
