The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, backtesting, and implementing algorithmic trading strategies for energy commodity markets. They will also be expected to generate trading ideas using advanced statistical and analytical methods, and collaborate with trading desks and analysts to leverage market insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement algorithmic trading strategies for energy commodity markets
- Generate trading ideas using advanced statistical and analytical methods
- Collaborate with trading desks and analysts to leverage market insights
- Stay up-to-date with the latest market developments and provide advice on algorithmic trading
- Adhere to and develop company standards and best practices for algorithmic trading
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a quantitative research role, preferably in the energy trading industry
- Strong programming skills, including Python, R, and C#
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Fluency in English, with additional languages an advantage
- Result-oriented, independent, and structured working method
