Head of Data and AI Operations

We are seeking a talented and passionate leader to join our innovative team at Niologic. As the head of our data and AI operations, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions in the space of AI that drive our customers' business forward.

Key Responsibilities

As a senior data and AI operations lead, you will be responsible for a team of 3 engineers with the following duties:

  • Quality and Sustainability: Develop robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Reliability: Operate data pipelines and AI services, which our customers can rely on.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with our customers to gather requirements, design, and integrate our AI solutions into their subsystems.
  • Growth: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and work with our architects on streamlined system architectures.
  • Mentorship: Guide team members in their technical and personal development journey.
  • Customer Care: Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance with our customers in mind.
  • Stay up-to-date: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Requirements

You are leading by example and best-practices:

  • Masters degree in Physics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on mentality in customer service and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
  • Familiarity with software design patterns and principles.
  • Understanding of Cloud and modern Data Stacks.
  • Deep Understanding and Passion about test-driven development and software quality.

Most of our customers are located in Germany. Hence, we expect you to speak German on a professional level (Unicert C1 or C2).
