Energy System Modelling Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy System Modelling Lead to join our Climate Policy Team. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of energy system modelling tools and methodologies to support our climate change research and policy analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain energy system modelling tools and methodologies to support climate change research and policy analysis.
- Lead a team of energy modellers to develop and implement energy system models and scenarios.
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate energy system modelling with other climate change research and policy analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of our energy system modelling work.
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues on energy system modelling and analysis.
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. energy systems, climate change, environmental science) and at least 7 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong quantitative skills, including experience with energy system modelling and analysis software (e.g. PyPSA, LEAP).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
