Energy System Modelling Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy System Modelling Lead to join our Climate Policy Team at Climate Analytics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of energy system modelling tools and methodologies to support our climate change mitigation and adaptation work.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of energy system modelling tools and methodologies to support climate change mitigation and adaptation work.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement energy system models and scenarios to support climate policy analysis and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and international organizations.
- Contribute to the development of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies and policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on energy system modelling and analysis.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as energy systems, environmental science, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in energy system modelling and analysis, with a strong background in power sector modelling.
- Excellent technical skills in energy system modelling software, such as PyPSA and LEAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
