Regional Construction Stormwater Manager

Job Description:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a qualified candidate to lead the regional Construction Stormwater and Virginia Wetlands Program (VWP) in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and agency guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to staff
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statues, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Budget development and allocation of staff resources, funds, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental engineering principles, urban soil conservation practices, stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulic engineering principles
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal water quality laws, regulations, policies, and programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and communicate effectively
