We are responsible for the user experience across all our streaming media devices, continuously experimenting and innovating to elevate customer satisfaction.

Your Role:

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer on the Fire TV QA team, you will advocate for the development of our automation solutions, assisting teams in achieving greater efficiency in testing.

Your responsibilities extend beyond merely automating tests; you will also create products and solutions that streamline the testing process and enhance the agility and efficiency of the team.

You will take ownership of designing solutions and shaping their specifications, as well as overseeing the testing and operational deployment of your projects. Your contributions will significantly influence the quality and delivery speed of our software, our business outcomes, and most importantly, our customers' experiences.

Collaboration is key; you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals, as your work impacts all job families to ensure efficient delivery.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to suggest enhancements to our existing processes and automated tools to boost the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess substantial hands-on experience in test automation and testing, with a solid understanding of core software testing methodologies. Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Our Quality Assurance Automation Engineers not only automate tests but also develop next-generation automation technologies, tools, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation solutions to streamline testing processes and workflows.
  • Maintain and enhance the test automation framework.
  • Manage DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in software development testing (non-internship).
  • Experience in building test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • Experience in debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex production software issues.
  • Ability to design or support low-maintenance automation frameworks.
  • Experience in automating release processes.
  • Basic knowledge of NAWS.
  • Basic Linux scripting skills.
  • Understanding of sound software design principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
