Shape the Future of Energy Control Systems
Siemens Energy is seeking a talented Senior Software Architect to join our team focused on developing and enhancing the Omnivise T3000 control system, a leading platform in the global energy market. As a key player in the energy transition, T3000 requires innovative solutions and robust security measures.
Your Role:
- Lead the conceptual development of critical components within the control system, with a particular emphasis on establishing a cutting-edge build environment for the System Platform.
- Coordinate and provide technical guidance to agile development teams across multiple communities of practice, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Design and implement effective DevOps pipelines, encompassing continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD), and system deployment across diverse production scenarios.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, considering information security, data protection regulations, and industry best practices to safeguard the system's integrity.
- Analyze reported issues from test teams or customer projects, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with agile development teams to refine technical specifications and user stories, ensuring alignment with project goals and user needs.
Your Expertise:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in IT automation tools such as Puppet/Foreman and Ansible, along with experience in software deployment and configuration management on Windows (including PowerShell) and Linux platforms within agile development environments.
- Strong cybersecurity skills encompassing network and system administration, penetration testing, hardening, malware protection, vulnerability assessment, and experience with security applications like whitelisting and intrusion detection.
- Solid background in Java programming within a system development team, with a focus on microservices. Familiarity with software development tools and office environments (Eclipse, GitLab, Jenkins, Microsoft Office) is highly advantageous.
- Experience with agile development processes (SAFe) and knowledge of distributed control systems, design principles, and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. German language proficiency is a plus.
