Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to our customers. Your primary focus will be on dispositioning partial and complete shipments, taking into account economic factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the transportation of goods, including partial and complete shipments
  • Better manage our full-charter fleet
  • Negotiate with carriers and purchase freight space independently
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
  • Coordinate with our warehouse staff and drivers to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare and issue shipping documents, such as CMR freight bills and national freight bills
  • Verify compliance with regulatory documents and papers
  • Monitor departure times for line hauls and freight space utilization
  • Enter and process shipment data from orders
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and disposition teams to ensure accurate loading and unloading
Requirements
  • Completed training as a merchant (m/w/d) for forwarding and logistics services or equivalent training
  • Familiarity with forwarding operations
  • Experience in a forwarding company, preferably in a groupage forwarding company
  • Strong quality awareness and professional telephone manner
  • Strong negotiating skills, high level of stress tolerance, team player, and flexible working hours
