Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controller and Financial Analyst to join our team at FRS - Fast Reliable Seaways. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, as well as providing analytical insights to inform business decisions.

About the Role
  • Participate in monthly and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, working papers, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data capture.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures related to the accounting function.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field.
  • CPA or actively pursuing CPA designation.
  • Intermediate to advanced US GAAP knowledge and strong technical accounting skills.
  • Experience with accounting software (SAP, Dynamics, or similar systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • PC proficiency, with exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrated ability to work under tight timelines.
What We Offer
  • $80,000-$110,000 per year salary range, commensurate with experience.
