Job Title: Technology Manager - Semiconductor Lithography Optics

Corning is a leading innovator in materials science, and we're seeking a skilled Technology Manager to join our team in Berlin-Adlershof (TechCenter). As a key member of our Optical Communications segment, you'll play a crucial role in driving innovation and growth in the semiconductor lithography market.

About the Role:

We're looking for a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of semiconductor lithography applications and roadmap. Your expertise in optical elements and assemblies for deep-UV and Extreme-UV lithography systems will be instrumental in developing strategic relationships with customers and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of semiconductor lithography applications and roadmap, with a focus on optical elements and assemblies.
  • Establish and maintain strong technical relationships with strategic customers, initiating collaborative efforts to drive business growth.
  • Provide relevant insights for internal Product Line Plans and Business Technology Strategy.
  • Recommend initiation of new technical programs to drive innovation and growth.
Deliverables:
  • Annual semiconductor lithography system understanding and roadmap, including insights into lithography system optical designs, critical product attributes for lenses and mirrors, and implications regarding glass material properties.
  • Deep and frequent technical engagement with strategic customers to discuss their roadmap and identify new opportunities.
  • Summary of key learning from selected technical conferences such as SPIE Adv. Patterning.
  • Initiation of new program or collaboration with customers or technical partners.
Requirements:
  • PhD or Master degree in Optical Engineering, Optical Physics, or similar discipline.
  • 10 years of experience in reflective and refractive optical design and ray tracing.
  • Optical modeling expertise using commercial suites like Zemax or Code-V.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Ability to establish trust and cooperation with customers.
  • Strong technical acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and executive presence.
Travel Requirements:

Up to 30% - Domestic and international.
