The Optical Communications segment has evolved to provide comprehensive optical solutions across the broader communications industry. Our products and solutions cater to carrier networks and enterprise networks, enabling video, data, and voice communications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing technologies for fiber optical and optoelectronic systems, components, subassemblies, and connectivity solutions.
  • Participating in projects with worldwide impact on optical interconnects and fiber optics hardware.
  • Leading feasibility studies, designed experiments, and capability evaluations to identify key performance parameters.
  • Optomechanical testing and characterization of optical interconnects and subcomponents.
  • Participating in engineering design reviews and evaluating semi-automated and automated assembly technologies.
  • Writing technical reports and specifications.

Requirements include a Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, as well as fundamental knowledge in optical connectors, passive optical components, transmission systems, optical fibers, and photonic integrated circuits.

Desired skills include a PhD in optics, experience in fiber optics and photonic integrated circuits, and proficiency in electrical design software and quality management processes.
