About the Role

Cosma Casting is seeking a seasoned Head of Purchasing to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement efforts. As a key member of our Casting Group, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and developing commodity/supply chain strategies to deliver maximum value and standardization across our divisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and sourcing, with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the automotive sector. You will be responsible for creating and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and improve supply chain performance
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to operations leadership on procurement-related matters

Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Business Administration, Economic Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and sourcing, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in SAP and other procurement software systems
