Your Role
As the Business Unit Head of Legal, you will oversee the legal aspects of business operations and ensure effective risk management. You will lead a team of twelve lawyers and contract managers, reporting directly to the General Counsel of Siemens Mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of lawyers and contract managers in providing comprehensive legal support to business units.
- Take responsibility for the legal support of business unit projects and legal proceedings.
- Oversee and coordinate all legal matters across different business units and national subsidiaries.
- Implement legal standards and ensure relevant training within the business unit.
- Collaborate closely with other business units and national subsidiaries to drive cohesive legal strategies.
- Provide guidance to the management team on legal and risk-related issues.
Requirements
You are a fully qualified lawyer with an excellent academic background and more than seven years of experience in the legal department of an international company handling large infrastructure projects. You inspire, motivate, and lead a team of highly skilled legal professionals with empathy and decisiveness. You possess solid business acumen, particularly in risk assessment, contract negotiations, and claim management.
