PhD Researcher in AI-Driven HVAC Optimization

Robert Bosch GmbH is seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to contribute to the development of AI-driven methods for optimizing HVAC systems. The successful candidate will work on integrating large language models, knowledge graphs, and neuro-symbolic AI to enhance the efficiency of HVAC systems while ensuring occupant comfort.
The project aims to automate and assist in the creation of optimization tools for HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The researcher will develop tools that support the semi-automated creation of optimization models using unstructured input data and expert knowledge.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI, machine learning, and optimization techniques, as well as experience with large language models, graph technologies, and symbolic AI. Fluency in English is required, and German is a plus.

Qualifications- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with AI, machine learning, and optimization techniques
- Strong programming skills in Python
