Head of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving financial excellence and providing insightful recommendations through in-depth analysis and forward-thinking projections.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing the annual budget, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Preparing and presenting accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitoring and managing company cash flow, including forecasting and planning.
- Ensuring compliance with all local and international financial regulations.
- Coordinating audits, ensuring that processes are documented and risks are managed.
- Overseeing the preparation of tax returns and ensuring timely tax payments.
- Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Managing relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Leading and supervising the finance team.
- Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and procedures.
- Supporting strategic decision-making with financial insights and data-driven recommendations.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- An educational background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally as a Head of Finance, Finance Lead, or similar.
- Experience working in a tech startup or high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated success in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
- Experience in managing financial operations, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and tax.
- Experience with financial systems and process optimization.
- A deep understanding of financial analysis, financial modeling (Excel), and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of German regulations, as well as international financial standards.
- Leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of engaging and training teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with all departments to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Fluency in English and German.
