Project Manager for Erection & Commissioning

About the Role

The Project Manager in the Sustainable Energy Solutions group is responsible for designing, developing, and leading customer solution projects according to defined project management standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for project results, including budget, financial management of risks, opportunities, claims, scheduling, and EHS.
  • Responsible for the project team, including supporting team members, delegating tasks, encouraging professional development, and fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Lead the project throughout the project life cycle, including planning, contract management, integration of technical solutions, documentation, handover, testing, and regular meetings.
  • Consultative advisor on customer requirements, including management of customer expectations, consulting on technical solutions, and clarification of customer targets and requirements.
  • Strategic development of target agreements and representation of the project portfolio on relevant boards.
  • Ownership of full project finance targets and results, including targets, proposal/entry costs, controlling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish positive relationships with partners through efficient communication, leading impact studies, and problem-solving.
  • Negotiate contracts, change requests, and design packages in consensus with collaborators.
  • Assess, analyze, and handle risks and claims for projects in category C portfolio and lead mitigation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or relevant field) required, with a preference for an advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Several years of experience in a combination of technical engineering and project management roles on mid-to-large-scale projects in a relevant industry.
  • Experience leading and developing a project team, including project managers and engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial and contract terms relevant to mid and large-scale projects and proficiency in negotiation.
  • Specialized knowledge of risk mitigation and management on the full lifecycle of projects and experience with leading claims and quality reviews.
  • Business fluent in English and German, with a willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
