Collateral Operations and Oversight Specialist, Senior Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Collateral Operations and Oversight Specialist, Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing collateral operations activities locally and outsourced to other State Street locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee collateral operations activities locally and outsourced to other State Street locations.
  • Lead and execute internal operations and oversight related projects.
  • Lead process improvements starting from identification of opportunities until execution and implementation.
  • Ensure high quality standards of the service.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to identify, analyze and proactively resolve issues and exceptions.
  • Contribute as subject matter expert to change processes and internal projects.
  • Work together with clients and other internal/external parties to improve and enhance processes.
  • Support audits, risk assessments and compliance initiatives by providing relevant data as well as new ideas.

Requirements

  • Strong sense of quality and commitment to interact with internal or external clients effectively and professionally.
  • Strong communication skills and service orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure (e.g. meeting deadlines, adopting and implementing changes).

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree with a focus on business and financial topics or comparable apprenticeship.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably within collateral management, operations oversight and/or client services.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and the regulatory framework in regards to Collateral industry (e.g. EMIR).
  • Proficiency in English and German.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, PowerBI preferred.
