Lead Engineer for Hybrid Systems and Battery Energy Storage

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineer and Project Manager to lead our team in the development and implementation of utility-scale battery energy storage systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the successful execution of projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality solutions that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement battery energy storage systems for utility-scale projects in Germany and worldwide
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project developers, suppliers, and energy providers, to ensure successful project delivery
  • Design and develop innovative technical and commercial battery energy storage contracts that set industry standards for innovation, reliability, and performance
  • Conduct site visits and travel as required, approximately 15-20% of working time
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering
  • At least five years of practical experience in implementing battery energy storage systems at utility-scale
  • Expertise in preparing EPC and supplier tenders
  • Knowledge of integrating battery energy storage systems with other technologies is highly desirable
  • Experience with MATLAB is an asset
  • Fluent English and German language skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with international colleagues and external stakeholders
