About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team in Stuttgart. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for leading large EPC projects in the biopharma and life science industry, ensuring overall project performance, including EHS, financial, schedule, and quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall Project performance, including but not limited to EHS, Financial, Schedule and Quality performance and construction for large EPC projects in the biopharma and life science industry
  • Representative of the corporate management to the project
  • Highest escalation level within the project to client, contractor, and the project team before the corporate management
  • Develop and maintain good communication and relationship with the Client
  • Accountable for the project performance on EHS, schedule, cost, and quality, as well as the project manager's performance
  • Report the project status to the company management as per corporate procedures
  • Stay on the project site and participate in the client management reporting meeting
  • Monitor and participate in the project risk identification and mitigation plan development process
  • Ensure corporate procedures, standards, and guidelines are followed within the project disciplines (Project Management, Project Engineering & Design Manager, Project Commercial Manager, Project Site Manager / Construction Management)
  • Define project strategies to achieve the project goals externally and internally
  • Be a visible, positive, and encouraging example influence for the project team members, both internally and externally. Provide guidance and motivation to the team

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Several years of experience in related industries (biopharma, life science) and EPC project management experience
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills in German and in English
  • Detailed knowledge of project execution and coordination
  • Good communication and motivation skills
  • Broad technical understanding of CSA (Civil Structural Architecture) and MEP systems
  • PMI certification advantage
