Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team at the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz as a Child Development Specialist. This role will involve providing care and educational support to children aged 0 to 6 years in our Kindertagesstätten in Bonn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a child-friendly daily schedule that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Support and encourage children aged 4 months to 6 years, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement pedagogical concepts that align with the principles of the German Red Cross
  • Participate in and plan parent meetings and events, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
  • Execute projects in coordination with the team leadership, promoting a culture of teamwork and cooperation
  • Engage in professional exchanges within the team, establishing a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Requirements

  • Educational background in Heilerziehungspflege, Erziehungshilfe, Sozialpädagogik, Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, or as an Erzieher*in
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with care and responsibility, ensuring the well-being and safety of children
  • Experience in challenging and nurturing child development, with a focus on promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Empathy and respect towards others, with a commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Enjoyment in cooperative and constructive teamwork with parents and colleagues, promoting a culture of collaboration and mutual respect
  • Alignment with the principles of the German Red Cross, including a commitment to social responsibility and community engagement
