Job Description:

The PhD project focuses on developing hybrid modeling techniques to analyze structure-borne noise in eBike drive units. This involves combining theoretical understanding, computation, and experimental knowledge to improve NVH possibilities. The project aims to make eBike drive units as silent as conventional bikes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions.
  • Work on developing hybrid modeling techniques to analyze structure-borne noise.
  • Contribute to the development of eBike drive units with improved NVH performance.
  • Interact with experts in dynamics, vibrations, acoustics, mechanical design, gears, motors, control engineering, simulation, and AI.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong background in theoretical mechanics or artificial intelligence.
  • Thorough exposure and motivation to learn in other covered areas.
  • Curious, creative, and highly intrinsically motivated personality.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and sufficient German skills.
