BDO Luxembourg is seeking a seasoned Strategic Risk Management Expert to lead the development of its risk advisory offering for banks.
Key Responsibilities- Foster collaboration with the consulting Partner to drive the growth of the BDO risk advisory service line in the banking sector.
- Coordinate the delivery of risk management missions and actively participate in sales processes to identify new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the expansion of the risk advisory services within the consulting business line, focusing on regulatory requirements, framework enhancements, and analysis of new developments.
- Develop and integrate risk management solutions encompassing governance, policies, analytics, systems, data, and reporting.
- Provide expert advice to clients on addressing issues and implementing recommended solutions.
- Participate in creating business opportunities by maintaining and developing strong client relationships.
- Bring expertise to internal and external audit teams regarding risk management implementation.
- A Master's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Risk Management, with in-depth knowledge of the Luxembourgish banking regulatory environment, preferably in a consulting setting.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- A fast learner with excellent problem-solving skills, able to understand complex matters quickly and approach new topics with curiosity and high motivation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to express oneself clearly, concisely, and precisely.
- The capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, such as the Basel framework, CRR/CRD, SREP, BRRD, EBA Guidelines, and CSSF Circulars.
- Proficiency in MS Office, VBA, Access, Power BI, with advanced skills in SAS/R/Matlab/Python being an asset.
- Possession of one or more industry certifications, such as FRM, CFA, PRM, or CAIA.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), with French or German being a significant advantage.
- An estimated salary of €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
