Job Title: Senior Product Manager Direct Lending

At Universal Investment, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the development and management of our Direct Lending product offering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and implementing our product strategy, working closely with our Head of Department and CPO to drive business growth and maximize risk-adjusted returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap for Direct Lending, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new products and services, leveraging technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of lending products and assets, from acquisition to divestment, ensuring efficient processes and regular maintenance/review cycles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Direct Lending within the UI Group, developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external entities.
  • Assess risk management for Direct Lending and assist in the development of a specific framework to cover associated risks.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, collaborating with finance teams and controlling departments to analyze asset performance and monitor product development.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of relevant market experience in product management within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Direct Lending and fund products, with experience in product development and management.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree (e.g. Finance, Business Economics, Law) and proficiency in business case development, operating model/process design, and investment products.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capability, with a track record of managing successful project teams with matrixed reporting lines.
  • English language skills; German skills preferable.
