Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Originator to join our Direct Lending Origination team in the DACH region. As an Originator, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with our Direct Lending investment team to originate and execute transactions across the DACH region
- Supporting the local head of origination in maintaining relationships with financial sponsors, clients, and advisors through effective communication
- Evaluating, structuring, and executing investment opportunities and transactions to support execution
- Providing support to investment and structuring teams with legal documentation, processes, and procedures
- Preparing and presenting investment committee memoranda
- Reviewing and preparing sensitive investment case models for senior management
- Evaluating credit risks across multiple factors, including industry trends, market conditions, and potential borrowers
- Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Deep experience in Corporate Alternative Credit transactions with a focus on Leveraged/Direct Lending
- Proven technical analysis skills, with experience in conducting due diligence and financial modeling of corporate credit investments
- Solid experience in private loan investment management, gained from a credit fund, commercial or investment bank, hedge fund, or mezzanine fund, with knowledge of LP relations
- Experience working with financial sponsors and debt advisors. Existing networks and relationships are a plus, but not a requirement
- Experience in producing credit investment proposals and supporting documentation for investment committees
- Experience in managing risk controls within an investment environment, with a good understanding of the fiduciary duty of care
- Education to degree level in a finance-related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or an acceptable level of industry experience
