Job Summary
Safran Engineering Services is seeking a skilled CFM Engines Technician to join our team in Hamburg. As a key member of our mechanics team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks to ensure the delivery of engines and aircraft according to the Airbus schedule.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks in compliance with current regulations to satisfy our customers.
- Respect and use work documentation (Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Service Bulletin Application, and Internal Work Instruction).
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks, including replacement of Line Replaceable Units, replacement of parts, engine boroscopy, inspection, troubleshooting, etc.
- Adhere to safety rules, including wearing protective gear and performing 5S inspections.
- Record all interventions/tasks within information systems (CFM & Airbus Systems).
- Contribute to product and service improvement by identifying/capturing risks, deviations, improvement opportunities, proposing corrective actions, and identifying major events.
Organization
You will report to the Mechanical and Logistical Operations Manager and be part of a mechanics team working with other CFM team members (logistician, quality, airframer support engineer, safety, and methods).
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of mechanics and engine functioning, as well as technical expertise in engine assembly and maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of PART 21G, PART 66, or PART 145 is recommended.
- Experience working in jet engine manufacturing or aircraft manufacturing would be an asset.
- Knowledge and use of a borescope device would be an asset.
- Knowledge and use of Airbus tools such as TLB (Technical Logbook), NC (Non-Conformity Notification), and Intervention Card.
- Technical English is mandatory - Fluent spoken English.
- French or German communication skills would be an asset.
Working Conditions
Shift organization, with the possibility of being on call during weekends.
Main Interactions
- External: GE, CFM* and Safran Aircraft Engines' customers (airframer, airlines, etc…)
- Internal: Safran Aircraft Engines and GE customer teams (Customer Program Managers, services teams, customer quality), Safran Engineering Services for employment contract.
