Senior Financial Controller

As a key member of our global Finance team, the Senior Financial Controller - Hospitality Operations Lead will play a critical role in managing our hospitality operations. This includes overseeing financial activities, reporting, deal and data analysis, cost improvements, financing, and efficiency guidance for both financial and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a robust financial controlling structure for hospitality operations across all places, projects, and services.
- Provide expert guidance to Operational Teams and Operational Managers on efficiency-related matters.
- Report key metrics to stakeholders, including the Board, C-Level, Operations Leadership, and Operational Teams.
- Monitor and control data in real-time for Slow Operations.
- Oversee the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Challenge the status quo and provide recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Prepare financial analysis as needed.
- Oversee operational budget and actual reports, as well as results.
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses on operational performance.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place.
- Develop and maintain controlling systems.
- Execute monthly and periodic audits, providing directives to the team as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills, resulting in sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Results- and goal-oriented, with high standards for yourself and others.
- An experienced professional who applies knowledge in the business domain, a strategist, thinker, catalyst, and doer.
- Strong personality with excellent communication, negotiation, and management skills across all levels of the organization.
- Affinity towards hospitality, finance, and technology.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting and USALI, with knowledge of HGB a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably 7 or more, as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; Portuguese a plus.
- Experience in hospitality operations is essential.
