Job Description:

We are looking for a AIT Ingenieur (m/f/d) at our location in Ottobrunn to join our team as a technical lead for AIT ETC projects. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance of OHB's AIT processes.

Your tasks will include:

  • Technical coordination of an assigned AIT ETC project team
  • Define AIT flow, GSE, and facility concept in the early phase
  • Standardize and update AIT documentation, AIT Plan, Facility Plan, GSE Deployment Plan/Specs, AIT Risk Register, Procedures, etc.
  • Evaluate GSE suitability and I&T definition across disciplines
  • Control technical coherency and consistency of documents, GSE, and I&T setups and approaches
  • Develop and maintain interfaces to Engineering, Verification, PA
  • Participate in test reviews (IRR/TRR, PTR) in coordination with AIT Manager
  • Organize results data review and drive respective approvals
  • Manage AIT tools usage for assigned projects
  • Support AIT ETC Manager with planning activities
  • Train, guide, and mentor employees
  • Foster information exchange and networking within the team and possibly with other departments or external partners
  • Contribute to knowledge management: knowledge generation, documentation, and transfer
  • Develop own expertise and leadership skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Aerospace/Electrical Engineer degree (or similar) with experience in Space Business or related matters
  • Five years of experience in Space Business considered essential for this position
  • Knowledge of satellite system aspects and technological items, with specific expertise in satellite system thermal testing (thermal balance and thermal cycling)
  • Profound knowledge of physics, electrical, and functional principles of a Satellite System
  • Excellent relationship capabilities, both internally and externally
  • Ability to understand issues, identify root causes, and define solutions
  • Flexibility in work organization: ability to work in shifts, weekends, or holidays if needed
  • Willingness to work under quality control rules
  • Flexibility to travel
