Research Associate Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team at the Cluster of Excellence Quantum Universe. The successful candidate will be part of a novel research project aimed at detecting gravitational waves with superconducting radio-frequency cavities.

Key Responsibilities

The Research Associate will lead the study to design a new cavity geometry for the future experiment, based on the experience gained during cryogenic tests at DESY and FNAL. This will involve interacting and working together with renowned experts on different fields and gaining in-depth knowledge of various aspects of cavity operation.

Requirements

A university degree in a relevant field is required. Experience in superconductivity, RF electronics/testing, or cryogenics is beneficial but not necessary. Good writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in an international team with English as a working language, are essential.
