About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Autonomous Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Optimus Search. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing real-time embedded software for safety-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Real-Time Embedded Software: You will design, develop, and test real-time embedded software for microcontrollers and microprocessors using C, C++, or Rust.
  • Implementing Device Drivers and Hardware Abstraction Layers: You will implement device drivers and hardware abstraction layers to ensure reliability and safety in all operational scenarios.
  • Driving the Development Lifecycle: You will drive the development lifecycle from concept through to integration, testing, and release.
  • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with teams across Systems and Safety Engineering, Autonomy, and Test & Verification to ensure seamless integration and certification of safety-critical software.
  • Supporting Certification Process: You will support the certification process with safety partners, advancing the company's product execution and business goals.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Modern C++ and C: You will have expertise in modern C++ and C for real-time applications, with experience in Python programming.
  • Proficiency in Real-Time Embedded Software Development: You will have proficiency in developing real-time embedded software for microcontrollers and microprocessors using C, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience with Safety-Critical Software Development: You will have significant experience with safety-critical software development, including industry standards such as ISO-26262 and IEC-61508.
  • Familiarity with Development Tools: You will have familiarity with development tools like CAN, Ethernet protocol analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Hands-On Experience with GNX-Linux: You will have hands-on experience with GNX-Linux.
  • Experience with Rust or Bazel: You will have experience with Rust or Bazel.
