About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to join our team as a Pioneering Systems Architect for eVTOL Aviation. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of eVTOL aircraft and ensuring their successful certification.

Job Description

You will be responsible for coordinating between various teams and systems to ensure the successful certification of the Flight Control Computers of the Volocopter aircraft. This will involve:

  • Supporting requirements management at flight control level with a focus on control computers.
  • Providing system-level expertise for coordination and alignment with various internal departments and certification authorities.
  • Supporting the generation of tests, drawings, and design specifications.
  • Coordinating and managing external suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An engineering degree (MSc or higher), preferably in aerospace engineering.
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in systems engineering for complex systems (ideally aviation-related).
  • Knowledge of aviation standards and guidelines (DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 in line with ARP4754A, ARP4761).
  • Knowledge of certification processes (Part 21) and requirements under EASA.
  • Highly skilled and effective in technical writing and communicating with others.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools (DOORS, SysML, etc.).
  • Theoretical knowledge about flight testing, flight physics, or electrical systems.
