Job Title: Proposal Manager

ME-Automation Projects GmbH is a leading provider of automation solutions for industrial processes. We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to join our team in Kassel, Germany.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing proposals for automation projects, working closely with our sales team and engineering departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating customer requirements and assessing the feasibility of our solutions
  • Engineering proposed solutions based on customer needs and our portfolio
  • Accurately estimating costs and quantities for proposed solutions
  • Supporting sales negotiations and clarifying technical and commercial deviations
  • Evaluating technical and commercial risks and proposing mitigation measures
  • Transferring won projects to our project execution organization
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in electrical engineering with specialization in automation, control, or electronics
  • Detailed knowledge of automation and control technologies, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Knowledge of process plants engineering and instrumentation is beneficial
  • Past experience in generating proposals for industrial solutions and working with DCS and SCADA systems
  • Multiple years of experience in solution and project business, especially in growth cycles
  • International work experience and exposure
  • Focused on business results and customer value creation with high attention to detail
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence without authority
  • High level of inter-cultural sensitivity and ability to function well in an international environment
  • Fluent in business English and German, with mastery of additional European languages a plus
