About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Expert to join our team at Merz Therapeutics. As a key member of our Medical Affairs department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing integrated evidence generation strategies, analyzing real-world data, and providing strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement integrated evidence plans to generate scientific evidence and support product development
  • Analyze real-world data to create evidence-based reports and inform strategic decisions
  • Ensure patient safety and ethical conduct of studies, taking into account patient needs and opinions
  • Plan and implement advisory boards with healthcare professionals, patients, and payors to inform study design and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Engage in cross-functional teams to represent Medical Affairs and drive project success
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and procedures to support Medical Affairs operations
  • Establish and maintain strong thought leader relationships for physician messaging and medical literature
Requirements
  • Medical or scientific university degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Pharmacy (MD, PhD)
  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a track record of successful RWE strategy and execution
  • Experience in planning, interpretation, and publication of clinical studies with innovative and/or digital design
  • Strong project management skills, ideally familiar with agile working methods
  • Fluent in English, German ideally at least basic conversational
  • Strong team-working and communication skills, able to understand and communicate complex science
