Construction Manager Offshore Station

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team at TenneT. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality assurance of our offshore converter station fabrication and contributing to the overall success of our project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Site Engineers and Local Inspectors: You will be responsible for coordinating the site engineers and local inspectors in an internationally located construction site, ensuring day-to-day quality assurance and site surveyance within the respective yard.
- On-Site Quality Assurance: You will be responsible for ensuring that the offshore platform is fabricated meeting TenneT's standards, policies, and applicable (local) regulations.
- Lead Site Inspectors and QC Personnel: You will functionally lead a team of site inspectors, coordinate the QC personnel on a day-to-day basis, and be part of the site leadership team to enable continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Communication: You will create transparency on the fabrication progress, risks, and non-conformities by formal reporting and close communication with the Project Manager and Lead Yard Management.
- Site Management Processes: You will support the Lead Yard Management in developing and implementing professional site management processes and tools.
- Standardization and Synergies: You will contribute to the standardization of project management approach and optimization of synergies between several HVDC systems and off-shore platforms.
- Academic Degree and Experience: You have preferably an academic degree or other comparable training combined with many years of experience in a comparable role.
- Construction Management Experience: You are an experienced construction manager with at least 5+ years of working experience in managing site/construction teams in an international environment, preferably in construction of complex infrastructure projects, HVDC, or oil and gas platforms.
- Language Skills: You are fluent in English, and additional languages (e.g., Deutsch) are an advantage.
- International Experience: You are willing to work and live abroad in a yard location environment (Batam – Indonesia) for an extended period of time, i.e., project duration (4-5 years).
- Certifications: You are preferably IPMA D certified or open to obtain.
