About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Molecular Biology Laboratory Technician to join our team at AB Enzymes. As a key member of our R&D department, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our molecular biology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments using techniques such as PCR, qPCR, DNA isolation, and microbial culture growth.
- Document and compile experimental results for regular reporting to your Line Manager and the Responsible Scientist.
- Execute tasks according to defined specifications, timelines, and priorities, supervised and supported by the Responsible Scientist.
About You
- Apprenticeship as a biological laboratory technician or equivalent.
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and working in S1/S2 biological safety level laboratories.
- Practical experience with standard technologies in molecular biology and microbiology, including PCR, qPCR, DNA isolation, and bacterial/fungal cultivation.
- Experience with bacterial and fungal production platforms is a plus.
- We are looking for a reliable team player with a high level of responsibility and accountability, and a willingness to further develop your skills.
- You will work with high accuracy and have a pragmatic and independent working style with the ability to prioritize for efficient throughput.
- We expect you to adhere to our agreed high standards and HSE practices.
- Good command of spoken and written English and German.
