Senior Credit Risk Analyst

At Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL), we are seeking a highly skilled Credit Risk Expert to join our team. As a key player in Luxembourg's finance industry, we are committed to responsible and sustainable banking practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing loan applications for commercial customers in terms of credit risk and conducting annual follow-ups of counterparties and projects.
  • Identifying risks inherent to debtors and transactions, and providing recommendations for decision-making bodies.
  • Assessing counterparties' ratings and analyzing balance sheets and current and future cash-flows.
  • Providing support to the Front Office in structuring loans, credit risk advice, and determining collateral levels.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with credit risk procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of higher education in economics, management, or finance, or at least 5 years of professional experience as a corporate officer or consultant.
  • Fluent in French and English, with knowledge of German considered an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of loans and financial instruments, as well as local and neighboring real estate markets.
  • Proficient user of common office automation tools, with proficiency in Excel, Visual Basic, Access, and Business Objects considered an asset.
  • Familiar with Basel Rating Tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with front office and sales teams to find workable solutions.
