Global Engineering Director

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead our client's global engineering team in the design and development of professional audio products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering, preferably in Physics, Acoustics, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, and experience in the audio products manufacturing sector would be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the engineering team in the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet cost targets and tight timescales.
- Provide strategic leadership to accelerate and manage new product development, driving market penetration while maintaining technological leadership.
- Collaborate closely with product management to define new products and ensure effective integration into the market in various global locations.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, management, manufacturing, offshore engineering teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Manage departmental operational costs and finances for new product development.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market within cost targets and tight timescales.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing large engineering teams with direct and indirect reports.
- Ability to drive innovation and excellence in engineering to maintain our client's position as a leader in the professional audio industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to manage departmental operational costs and finances.
